Gentry Gardner
Mr. Gentry Gardner is the Founder and President of Sure
Passage. Gentry has a trailblazing passion to take people where they’ve never
been before – securely guiding them through significant and uncertain times of
change – both personally and professionally. His intentional approach has grown
out of personal life experiences and coming alongside of others to successfully
traverse crucial transition points. Gentry continually hones his skills as a
life “trail guide” coach, inspired by the greatest commandment in Mark 12 – to
love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and to love your
neighbor as yourself.
Gentry has been serving Christian organizations full-time
since February 1999, with 21 years of experience in executive management
consulting, business development, project management, and information
technology. He is currently involved in transition leadership, change
management, and system assessment projects aimed at improving strategic business
capabilities within Christian ministries and mission agencies. As a trusted
advisor, Gentry brings practical team-facilitation and analysis expertise aimed
at increasing the effectiveness of people, processes, and programs within an
organization.
Gentry is building a team of Sure Passage ministry affiliates
who lead interactive workshops, adventure experiences, life coaching, and
ministry consulting to help individuals and groups successfully navigate (i.e.
make a "sure passage") through specific transition points and achieve new levels
of God-honoring success. Sure Passage conducts ongoing research on a unique and
creative model of biblical principles that is used to provide purpose-based,
practical assistance to people in transition. Sure Passage also serves local
churches with programs such as Leadership Development for pastors and laity;
developing vibrant Ministry to Men and Intergenerational Communities; and
facilitating short-term Mission Projects.
Currently, Gentry is leading a Real Estate Development
company to help fund ministry opportunities. He also serves as an advisor for VisionQuest Alliance, a
collaborative venture to allow mission sending agencies to share services and
systems. Other ministries Gentry has served through consulting engagements
include Focus on the Family, Wycliffe, Young Life, Samaritan’s Purse, The
Christian and Missionary Alliance, The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM), OMS
International, International Students, and Greater Europe Mission.
As a teenager, Gentry began following Jesus Christ as his
Savior and Lord. He is committed to a lifestyle of pursuing of God through deep
relationships with people, priorities focused on eternal purpose, and an
intentional journey led by the Holy Spirit. Gentry is active in a local church,
where he is involved in leadership development, ministry to men, lay
mobilization, youth missions, and worship ministries. He earned his Bachelor of
Science Degree in Mathematics from Biola University and his Master of Science
Degree in Systems Engineering from Boston University. He has been married to
