Dear Friends, As I was preparing to graduate from Air Academy last year I was unsure as to the path God had for me this upcoming school year. Through a difficult process of trying to find His will, with doors being shut in my face sometimes, I found that He was calling me to take some time before college and accomplish some mission work for His kingdom. As I explored my opportunities, South America seemed to be the general destination, and then Ryan came into the picture. Ryan Sundeen and I have known each other through high school and as I was reaching my decision of taking the year, he felt a similar pull on his heart. We decided to partner up and make this amazing journey together. We became aware of an opportunity in Argentina working with the Baptist church Centro Crecer Biblica Bautista. We will be departing the end of September and flying to Cordoba, Argentina, We will be participating in a three month internship there. The internship will have two main focuses: the youth group, and street ministry. Ryan and I will be plugged into the local church’s youth program, helping to facilitate weekly meetings, and also being apart of the worship team. In addition to the weekly things, there are several big events that we will be involved in, a large soccer tournament organized by the church, an also a big youth camp in January. The street ministry will grow as we continue to get into the culture and our Spanish becomes better, we will be apart of outreach programs to the city of Cordoba. We will be staying in an apartment a few blocks from the church. Every Monday will be our day to relax and enjoy what Cordoba has to offer. The city of 1.3 million sits at the base of the Pampas mountain range and we will have opportunity to explore and really get to know the culture. After 3 months, we will continue on to Peru. We will spend several weeks
backpacking through Peru, seeing the sights and getting to know the country.
From there we will return home.
We are raising support for the ministry portion of the trip. I am trusting that this is what God has for us to do and I know He will provide. Whether or not God is asking you to contribute financially, I am asking you to support us in prayer.
