Urgent: Earthquake Victims in Nepal
We are partnering with ServeNow in Nepal. Here’s an update from ServeNow’s president Lars Dunberg:
Friends,
I have just received this message from ServeNow’s Arjun Dhakal in Kathmandu. “It is massive destruction, many people have lost their lives, and many people are forced to live on the street. The scene is very scary; people are very frightened and have lost hope. Many buildings have collapsed, the situation is devastating. Since the big quake we have had more than 60 smaller ones and just a little while ago, there was another 6.5 magnitude after- quake. We need emergency response! We need especially to help in the villages where the devastation is total.”
We are in need of clean water and medical clinics. The ServeNow office in India is ready to load clean drinking water in bottles and plastic pouches on a truck in Siliguri (India) close to the Nepal border to drive to Katmandu, since the airport is closed. A medical team is being mobilized and volunteers are going in to assist Arjun and the other Nepal staff members. We will also need to provide food for people in the villages whot have not eaten since the earthquakes started and have lost everything.
We need your help now. Donations will go to the Nepal rescue mission. Tell your friends, take an offering at church, and send an extra gift now. Go to www.weservenow.org and click on donate. In the message window write Nepal. You can also mail a donation to ServeNow, 5550 Tech Center Drive, Suite 302, Colorado Springs, CO 80919
Please pray for the victims, who have lost relatives and their homes. Please pray for the ServeNow staff who will do everything to assist. They need your help. Don’t procrastinate! Thank you!
